WHAT IS SILVER CLAY?  WHERE DOES THE SILVER COME FROM?

Silver metal clay is made up of pure silver particles bound together with an organic non-toxic binder. You can mold, shape, press, stamp and cut silver metal clay. It is then dried thoroughly before being fired to nearly 1500 degrees Fahrenheit, which fuses the silver particles. The organic binder burns away and the resulting piece is an heirloom quality work of art that is 99.9% pure silver as opposed to only 92.5% silver in sterling.  All silver clay is not made the same. The silver clay that we choose to use is made from 100% reclaimed and recycled silver! We take pride in being green!
